University Faculty
Turiya taught approximately 20 distinct courses, most multiple times. While she was faculty primarily at Portland State University, she also instructed several courses at Washington State University-Vancouver. The work included developing and facilitating curriculum focusing on history, art and expression, cultural diversity and the intersections of multiple identities. Involvement in producing campus events, working with student groups, as well as collaborating with various departments and community organizations were other key aspects of her involvement. She received the John Eliot Outstanding Teacher Award and taught over 300 credit hours. |
